The scenery is beautiful, I like the color, match the theme. But the rope stands out too much (the color), too big, and because of that, too near to the ground. People couldn't hung themself and die there. (Except if the tree is on a cliff) Do check out my Halloween entry

I like everything in this apart from the noose, it looks like it has been painted in as an after touch, not sure but maybe the noose would have worked better if it had been black as the stem of the tree? Anyways, very interesting and uniqueu work as allawys

Nice piece, very melancholy, didn't see the original, but agree that black is better than red and orange. The noose does look disjointed with a great piece, maybe the rope extension is wrapped around the branch, or back to the trunk or something, smaller perhaps.

Oh this is fantastic work. I love the silhoette and the idea of making th eleaves white is inspired. Are they meant to be a memory or ghost of the tree when it was in bloom? or are they meant to be there in the present but are just stylised to be white instead of black like the rest of the tree? I like to think its the first option myself. Excelent work.

I made this with a sleepy hollow feel to it, supposed to represent a spiritual place, leaves have died but there memory remains. ghost if you will, but a tree and not a person so i dont knwo what you would call it.

I agree with herrerojulia, pegahoul and Eleni about the rope. I realy like the atmosphere of the colors. Cold colors but it still has a warm fealing to it. Propably because there's a touch of violett in there and the leaves brighten up the tree. Realy like it.

I actually like the ps grass brushes I'm not so positive about the leaf brushes. Like Keiii said, they look a bit like stars and they take a bit of the creepyness of this piece (well, I don't know what mood you wanted to create, but the siluette of the tree, the gibbet rope and the blue tones look quite spooky to me
